We built this because we lost a file.

Twice, actually, in the same quarter, at a four-person bookkeeping practice where two of us worked. The second time took nine hours to resolve and cost a client. The tool we wrote so it would not happen again became InfoHive.

How it went

  1. 2019

Started as an internal tool at a four-person bookkeeping practice that had lost a client file twice in one quarter.

  2. 2021

First outside customers, all of them accountants who heard about it from the first practice.

  3. 2023

Retention and approvals shipped after a customer failed an audit for reasons that were entirely about filing.

  4. 2026

Eleven people, 2,400 firms, and still no sales team.

How we work

We charge for the software and nothing else. No setup fee, no migration package, no per-seat surprise in month three. If a plan stops fitting you, we would rather move you down a tier than lose you.

Support is answered by people who work on the product. There are eleven of us, which makes that possible and also means we say no to a lot of good ideas.

We have taken no outside investment. That is not a virtue in itself, but it does mean the only way this business grows is if the software is worth paying for.

We are not trying to become a platform. InfoHive files documents and finds them. Everything we have been asked to add that is not that, we have declined.

Come and find the thing you lost.
